Treasury Analyst

ROLE SUMMARY

Reporting to the Senior Portfolio Manager, this position is responsible for managing and assisting in various capital markets function such as foreign exchange, interest rate risk management, and debt issuance for the organization. This position works under close supervision and interchangeably with the other Treasury Analyst and provides facilitation, research and support.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manage/assist all the foreign exchange activity for the organization.
  • Manage/assist the organization’s commercial paper issuance program.
  • Manage/assist the credit union repo program.
  • Manage/assist the execution of derivative transactions or the organization and credit unions.
  • Assist in analyzing balance sheets utilizing income simulation and the development of risk management strategies and draft reports.
  • Assist in the formal presentation of findings to management.
  • Assist in the portfolio management process for the liquidity portfolio.
  • Provide back-up in maintaining the treasury management system software modules.
  • Manage and/or support any project-based initiatives for the Financial Services team.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
  • Support risk management and effective governance by maintaining compliance with policies, procedures and controls both corporately and within area of responsibility, ensuring they are operating effectively and escalating discrepancies to management.
  • All other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Related University, college, formal certification or a combination of formal education and 2 years of experience.
  • Working towards a professional designation.
  • Previous financial services industry experience.
  • Team-oriented, having experience collaborating with multiple levels and sectors of the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize effort and manage multiple projects and initiatives concurrently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Office.
  • Must be bondable.
