Value of Alberta’s oil production back to pre-pandemic level: Alberta Central Chief Economist Charles St-Arnaud spoke with Tom Vernon in a Global News article about what his estimated oil production value means for the Alberta government ahead of the 2021 budget.

The increase in oil production combined with a rise in prices means that the government has a better starting point for revenues in 2021 than last year, says Charles. Mark Scholz, president of the Canadian Association of Oilwell Drilling Contractors, confirms that industry revenues in Q4 2020 were higher than forecast, and Q1 of 2021 is looking even better.
