The article discusses a climbing local housing market, growth in the movie industry and vaccinations as positive forces working against job losses in the oil and gas sector, COVID-19 restrictions and a surging downtown office vacancy. And our Chief Economist Charles St-Arnaud agrees that it will be a bit of a rollercoaster.

“It will start to feel better as we move along in 2021,” Charles says in the article.

“But it will still not be smooth sailing. There will still be a lot of risk and volatility.”
