Prairie Payments Joint Venture (PPJV) is now hiring a People and Culture Advisor for a full-time role.

COMPANY OVERVIEW

The Prairie Payments Joint Venture (PPJV) is a joint venture owned by three Prairie centrals created to digitally transform and modernize payment services for credit unions in the Prairie provinces. PPJV’s goal is to ensure prairie credit unions are competitive in payments and have access to efficient, modernized payments processing infrastructure.

Role Summary

The People & Culture Advisor offers guidance and support to PPJV leaders and employees across Canada on staff related topics.  As a trusted advisor, this role will support the Director, P&C on talent acquisition, researching HR best practices, employee onboarding and offboarding activities and various people related initiatives and ensure they are delivered in an effective manner. This role provides advisory services and support to the PPJV teams in the following areas of human resources.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide high quality advice and services to management and employees on day-to-day employee relations and performance management issues.
  • Support the human resources department in the implementation of programs to enhance the employee experience.
  • Support employees and people leaders with disability management.
  • Develop role specific job descriptions.
  • Coordinate recruitment and staffing mandates: post positions, search for active and passive candidates via social media and interview candidates.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with employment agencies to ensure the selection of the most qualified candidates.
  • Support the on-boarding and off boarding for all employees.
  • Assist with contractor management.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including planning, file maintenance and updating employee lists, organization charts, etc. as required.
  • Prepare reports and pull metrics to support management or for presentations.
  • Liaise with Alberta Central P&C team on employment offers, employee changes and terminations.
  • Support the P&C team by contributing and collaborating on development of projects, programs, and services to meet business requirements.

Position requirements:

  • University degree (minimum bachelor) in human resources.
  • 5+ years of HR experience as business partner working with HR Administration, Employment Standards (across Canada), Recruitment, Employee Relations, and/or Performance Management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and team members.
  • Ability to proactively analyze and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to administer HR policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to visualize, articulate, and solve complex problems, make informed decisions, and the initiative to formulate a plan.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate high level communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.) and ADP-Workforce Now.
  • Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is preferred.

Ideally, candidates will be located in one of our current customer areas of Alberta, Saskatchewan or Manitoba.
