We’re seeking an experienced IT professional to join the KSCU team as our new Technical Architect. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of our business systems, ensuring they align with our IT strategy and seamlessly integrate with existing systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring these systems are adaptable and scalable to support our future initiatives. You are passionate about technology and an advocate for best practice and ‘Secure by Design’.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the design and deployment of enterprise-wide IT systems, ensuring they meet project objectives and requirements.
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders to understand project goals and deliver solutions that align with our IT strategy.
  • Providing expert guidance and oversight throughout the implementation process, from investigation and design to proof of concept, pilot, and rollout.
  • Creating reference materials and effectively communicating complex ideas to both internal and external stakeholders.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of professional technical architecture experience, to include Microsoft cloud platforms. E.g. MS Azure, M365, MS Dynamics
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing enterprise systems
  • Relevant domain certifications e.g. Certified Azure Architect and those further relevant to MS cloud systems
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience with information technology systems, networks, security best practices & technologies, infrastructure, operations, and management
  • Experience with writing IT and end user documentation
  • Financial institution experience that includes exposure to technology and systems consistent with Kootenay Savings Credit Union environment
  • Solid understanding of telecommunications networks, technology capabilities, technical architecture including technical planning, design and implementation
  • Advanced knowledge of IT best practices and the ability to keep abreast of new technologies
  • Advanced knowledge of cloud computing, technology capabilities, technical architecture including technical planning, design and implementation
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a network of internal and external relationships and maximize collaboration potential
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced organizational and time management skills
  • Strong focus on customer service and service delivery
